Meet Medik8's first lip balm: Mutiny. This squalane-based gel balm immediately acquires an oily consistency on the lips, giving the lips immediate but also long-lasting hydration. Lips are often neglected in our care. The skin on the lips can then dry out and is prone to damage. Mutiny differs from most other lip balms on the market in that it doesn't use an occlusive like petroleum jelly for hydration. This can be a suitable short-term solution for dry, chapped lips. Rather, it forms a surface film on them that improves their appearance, but does not take care of them in the long term. The composition of Mutina, which is based on squalane, is beautifully absorbed into the lips, in whose skin the level of missing lipids is restored and it provides protection against loss of hydration and drying. The lip balm with a gel consistency is enriched with sea buckthorn oil, which supplies the upper layers of the skin on the lips with omega fatty acids, thereby contributing to their visible regeneration and restoration of the natural protective barrier. Thanks to this, it supports the healing of dry, chapped lips.

HOW IT WORKS

The skin on the lips is different from the skin on the face. It is much thinner and thus has a weaker protective barrier. The result is a hydration retention problem. Mutiny uses natural squalane, which nourishes and protects the skin on the lips. Squalane is almost identical to squalene, a natural component of sebum. Thanks to this, it provides protection to the lips that prevents them from drying out. The composition of the gel balm is enriched with sea buckthorn oil, which enriches the upper layer of the lips with omega oils and restores its lipid barrier, thereby locking in moisture in the lips. It supports the healing of chapped, dry lips and their overall regeneration. The caring formula is additionally enriched with hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights, which deeply hydrates all layers of the skin of the lips.
